When you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change.

- Marie Mongan

Whether you are a first time mum or this whole pregnancy and birth thing is something you have done before, you are probably feeling a bit nervous and worried about the whole experience, which is completely fine and even normal.

I am passionate about changing that worry and nervousness into confidence and having mums and dads feel relaxed and calm about what is happening and the choices that they have about their pregnancy and birth. I believe that the best way to do this is through education and information. When you are aware of what is happening and the choices that you have then you will find that those nerves and worries will disappear and it will leave you feeling empowered and ready to give birth to your little bundle of joy.

This is meant to be an amazing time of your life as you bring a new addition into your wonderful family and it shouldn't be surrounded by fear or worry.

Unfortunately there are some pretty sad statistics that tell us otherwise, with 1 in every 7 mums suffering form Postnatal Depression (PND) and 1 in 10 dads (thats right PND isn't just something that mums suffer from).

There are many benefits that mums and dads experience from attending a HypnoBirthing course and one that I love is that it reduces your chances of suffering from PND and anxiety.

Some other great benefits from attending a HypnoBirthing course is

  • 77% of HypnoBirthing mothers who birthed vaginally did so without epidural anaesthesia.
  • 45% of HypnoBirthing mothers birthed in under eight hours.
  • 17% of HypnoBirthing mothers birthed via C-section, compared with the national average of 32%.
  • 9.5% of HypnoBirthing mothers chose to birth in the comfort of their homes (national average is less than 1%).
  • 6% of HypnoBirthing mothers chose to birth in freestanding birth centres (national average is less than 1%).

About me

Firstly let me say, congratulations and thank you for considering me to be apart of this special time in your life.

My Name is Tammie and I am a mum to a wonderful independent (insert challenging) 13 year old daughter.

I love cooking (there will be lots of yummy homemade treats to snack on during class), CrossFit, and spending time with friends and family.

I have always had a passion to find a career where I could help people and have tried my hand at many different things, however never really found something that stood out to me as being my passion until I found HypnoBirthing. I knew that this was something I wanted to look into, as I had seen the wonderful effects that a friend experienced with using it for her birth. Since becoming certified I have realised that this is what I have been looking for, this is my passion and I am so happy to be able to share this with you all and help you on your journey to a gentle and calm birth.

I am a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner with  HypnoBirthing International - The Mongan Metho
